WAVE Workshop – Thank You!

In November, students and parents from all ISD high schools convened at IHS for “Discover Your Power,” a sexual assault awareness and self-defense workshop from WAVE.  The discussion focused on the current sexual harassment climate, #MeToo, societal stereotypes, importance of consent in relationships, and the role of bystanders in stopping sexual harassment and assault.   The event was covered by KOMO news:  KOMO News WAVE Coverage. Many thanks to Meggan Atkins, Jaci Belur, WAVE Team, Victoria Evans, and ParentWiser
