What are the Mock Tests and Scores Back session?

Mock tests are proctored, full-length exams allowing students to undergo the process by taking a practice, previously released exam; the results are considered unofficial.

These mock exams are held in person at Issaquah High on a Saturday morning.

Detailed instructions will be emailed out the week before the practice test dates; however, a student can expect a check-in time of 8:30 – 8:45am and tests to begin promptly at 8:50am with the SAT to end about 11:20am and the ACT to end around 12:15pm.

Students will need to bring fully charged laptops (for digital tests), sharpened #2 pencils, erasers, charged personal calculator and closed water bottle/small wrapped snack are encouraged.

Practice exams are $25 each; scholarships are available at IHPTSAFamilyResources@gmail.com

The Scores Back session provides families with an overall score, along with category breakdowns allowing them to see strengths and weaknesses and analysis. Huntington will receive names and emails from the registration to send results.

The scores back sessions are held in person at Issaquah High on a Wednesday night at 7pm. The scores back session covers both the ACT and SAT.

Please note:

- mock tests are not the official ACT/SAT nor the PSAT

- mock exams are open to any student, not just those from Issaquah High

- tests may be rescheduled for another date, within the current calendar school year

- unfortunately, refunds are not available

What are the ACT and SAT? PSAT?

The ACT and SAT are standardized tests colleges and universities use as part of their admissions process; administered by American College Testing (ACT) and College Board (SAT).  Issaquah High typically will host the real SAT during the spring of each year.  Registration will be mentioned in the IHS Weekly Bulletin in January.

The PSAT is the Preliminary SAT (PSAT), an exam also known as the PSAT/NMSQT which stands for the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The PSAT is administered by IHS each academic year in the fall (usually October) during the school day, to all 10th and 11th graders. It will be mentioned in the IHS Weekly Bulletin.
